See ItineraryIndonesia’s dry season runs April through October. A collection of island’s surrounded my warm tropical water make Indonesia’s temperature remarkably constant, the coastal plains averaging 28 °C (82 °F), the inland and mountain areas 26 °C (79 °F)and the higher mountain region, 23 °C (73 °F). Indonesia experiences relatively little change in the length of daylight hours. In Jakarta, the country’s capital, temperatures range from 22-30 °C (72-86 °F)through the dry season, with June to September the best time to visit with average rainfall of less than 80 mm per day. It’s an ideal time to ramble through the lush vegetation of Tanjung Putting National Park on the island of Borneo with its spectacular wildlife, such as gibbons, macaques, clouded leopards, crocodiles and, most famously, orangutans. It is also the best time for diving among the rich coral reefs off the islands of Bali or Lombok, as the seas are calm compared to the rougher rainy season.
