See ItinerarySouth Korea has four very distinct seasons, with winter cold and snow falling between December and March when cold air moves south from Siberia and Manchuria. Average temperatures drop to 0°C (32°F) across the country, with the coastal areas and charming holiday isle of Jeju-do a little warmer. In the capital, Seoul, it can fall to cold as cold as minus 8°C (18 °F) in the depths of winter, so wrapping up warm is a must. It is a great time to try out the country’s world-class skiing and snowboarding resorts, which have among the very best such facilities worldwide.
An Asia-focused magazine brought to you by Remote Lands - a platform for adventure, luxury, and authenticity from experts and explorers around the continent.
With tensions between North & South Korea at the highest point they’ve been in years, there couldn’t be a more dramatic time to visit the Demilitarized Zone.
Whether it’s Michelin-star dining, world-class hotels, or white sands, travelers to Korea will find a holistic holiday as they journey from the DMZ to the beaches of Jeju.
A fascinating land of ancient traditions, cutting-edge modernity and a chequered past, South Korea boasts a rich tapestry of culture and its LGBT history is no less interesting.
