This hugely popular, lively, colorful five-day festival is held every two years (in odd-numbered years) in historic Samarkand and visitors from all over central Asia travel to Registan Square to see dancers, musicians and performers from all over Uzbekistan and the world showcase their culture and traditions on vast open air stages.
Uzbekistan in August
April through October and Uzbekistan is clear and hot. The best times to visit Uzbekistan are April and May as well as September as temperatures generally ranges from 21 to 29 °C (70 to 85° F) and rainfall is limited. June through August is very hot, uncomfortably so for some, about 20 to 35°C (68-95°F), and visitors should avoid going out in the middle of the day at this time. Autumn is the ideal time to explore the country’s intriguing old towns and Islamic architecture. These months are typically drier than spring, and when the country goes to harvest, leaving the markets ripe with fresh fruit and vegetables.
