DETAILED DECRIPTION

Explore rare cultures and go where few travelers have gone when you embark on this unique, exciting journey through Papua New Guinea’s hidden treasures. You go to sites rarely-visited by the outside world, which you’ll reach by the convenient and comfortable travel method of private jet charter. This is one of the most diverse - if not also the least-explored - areas in the Asia-Pacific region. With activities in store like camping, market shopping and chatting with locals, there’s not a dull minute on this 10-day trip. Get ready for an adventurous journey that will take you trekking and walking through Papua New Guinea’s stunning nature.

Why travel by private jet?

Eliminate unnecessary waiting time and stress when you fly by private jet. Spend less time in airports and more time in the incredible sites you are traveling to see. Not only is it a far more convenient and comfortable mode of travel, but private charter allows you to reach parts of Papua New Guinea otherwise inaccessible by commercial airlines. Uncover some of the most stunning, remote destinations when you charter your own private jet.

DAY-TO-DAY

DAY 1: Mount Hagen

Your adventure starts as your fly into Jackson. From here, you will meet your guide, who will assist you in your flight to reach Mt. Hagen. Fly into Kagamuga airport, where you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a full tour of the Mt. Hagen township. The exciting local market is a favorite.

DAY 2: Sepik Region

Fly to Mt. Hagen on a charter flight. Here, you will be met by your local guide, who will lead your adventure into the Sepik region, home to the magnificent Sepik River. Meet locals and learn about a culture that rarely encounters the outside world. Stay in a local homestay.

DAY 3: Sepik Region

Spend the full day exploring the area. Take a trek through the wilderness led by a knowledgeable local, who will fill your head with interesting tidbits about the flora and fauna. Participate in cultural activities and spend time getting to know the people.

DAY 4: Yambaitok

Take a private charter flight into Yambaitok in the Yuat Valley. This is on the border of East Sepik and the Enga Provinces. Dive straight into the local culture - you are met by your guide, greeted with a handshake and the traditional welcome dance. Venture into the rainforest and discover the area’s unique wildlife. Species in the area include the stunning Birds of Paradise and the smallest frog in the world. After an adventurous, culturally-insightful day, retire to a local homestay.

DAY 5: Yambaitok

Spend a full day exploring the area. Trek into the rainforest and check out the traditional, local villages. You can observe cultural activities and see if the rumors of the people possessing magical powers hold truth. These powers are linked to the local’s traditional underground oven that’s used to roast vegetables.

DAY 6: Kompiam

Take a chartered aircraft to Kompiam, a district in Enga Province. Shop the local markets and mingle with the friendly locals. Visit the area’s health center and the local schools as well. In the evening, you’ll have the rare opportunity to view a Courting Ceremony, lending you further insight into local culture.

DAY 8: Ambullua

Spend the day investigating the surrounding mountains in the Jiwaka Province. Take a nature walk and learn about the area’s flora and fauna. Trek through the countryside and visit local villages. The people are friendly to outsiders - exchange cultural tales and insights with them. Spend tonight in humble accommodation in an Ambullua Village.

DAY 9: Mount Hagen

Fly by chartered aircraft to Mt. Hagen, upon which you’ll be treated to an aerial view of the natural setting. Once you arrive at your destination, check into the Highlander Hotel. You have the afternoon free to explore the area at your leisure - take a meander around the village and check out the sights, or relax in your comfortable room.

DAY 10: Departure

It’s the final morning of your trip. Stretch your legs early before taking your transfer flight to Port Moresby. From here, you will be assisted with your connection to your international flight, either home or to your next exciting destination.
