Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort has added a new layer to its accommodation line-up with the launch of the Mekong Explorer Pool Suites, a set of private-pool sanctuaries perched above the point where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar converge.
The new category strengthens the resort’s position as one of Northern Thailand’s most distinctive bases for high-end, nature-driven travel.
Known for unconventional offerings such as the transparent Jungle Bubbles and the safari-style Explorer Tent, the resort has carved a niche for immersive stays set against dramatic landscapes.
The new pool suites continue that direction, each opening onto a spacious deck with a full-size swimming pool and uninterrupted views across jungle ridgelines, river valleys and elephant habitat. Morning mists drift through the trees; evenings bring slow sunsets sinking behind three countries.
Inside, the suites borrow from the era of early Mekong exploration. Dark woods, vintage travel trunks, elephant motifs and region-inspired artworks give the interiors a strong sense of place without tipping into pastiche. The 64-square-metre Mekong Explorer Pool Suite is designed for couples and young families, while the 96-square-metre Family Pool Suite offers interconnected rooms and expanded living zones suited to multigenerational groups.
Stays include dinner at SamSarn, the resort’s northern Thai restaurant, along with the Sky Bike experience—a scenic glide above rice paddies, grasslands and the well-known Jungle Bubbles.
