Ahead of the much-anticipated live unveiling of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025, the extended 51-100 list has been revealed, highlighting Asia’s diverse and ever-evolving dining scene.
This ranking is compiled from votes by the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, a respected panel of over 350 culinary experts, food critics, chefs, and restaurateurs.

This year’s 51-100 list features restaurants from 23 cities, with 13 new entries reflecting the dynamic culinary innovation across Asia. Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Seoul lead the rankings with six placements each, reinforcing their reputations as gastronomic powerhouses.
Among the highest new entrants, Seoul’s Soigné debuts at No.57, marking a significant milestone for the host city. Other standout debuts include Farmlore (No.68) in Bengaluru, recipient of the American Express One To Watch Award, and Naar (No.66) in Kasauli, which brings Himalayan-inspired cuisine into the spotlight.
China‘s emerging fine dining scene is well represented, with Hangzhou‘s Ru Yuan (No.59) and Shanghai‘s La Bourriche 133 (No.96) debuting. Meanwhile, Tokyo claims four spots, including newcomer Harutaka (No.76).

Several new destinations have made their way onto the list for the first time, marking exciting culinary developments beyond established foodie capitals. Vientiane’s Doi Ka Noi (No.86), Ubud’s Locavore NXT (No.92), Hanoi’s Gia (No.97), and Penang’s Au Jardin (No.100) all debut, expanding the geographical footprint of Asia’s 50 Best.
Especially notable is the inclusion of Doi Ka Noi, the first-ever restaurant in Laos to get Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants recognition.
Here resident culinary genius Ponpailin ‘Noi’ Kaewduangdy channels wisdom passed down from her grandmother, inspiration from local cooking traditions, and her innate instinct for flavour combinations. Menus change frequently depending on seasonality and availability of ingredients, but sample dishes may include pa tod ob sai mak len aharn jeen haw Phongsali (Phongsali-style fish with tomatoes and Sichuan pepper), or yam mak eua pow sai sin moo (charcoal roasted aubergine salad with pork and herbs).

These additions underscore the growing influence of regional and hyper-local dining experiences across Asia.
Other notable new entries include Testina (No.60) and Feuille (No.93) from Hong Kong, and Inja (No.87) from New Delhi.
The final Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list will be unveiled at a grand awards ceremony in Seoul next week. The event, hosted in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, will be streamed live on the 50 Best YouTube channels.
