South Korea in October

September to November is South Korea’s warm and dry autumn and for many the finest time of the year to visit, with the country’s foliage bursting in bright shades of red and orange. Temperatures drop to about 15°C (59°F) and the bright blue skies tend to stay clear and crisp, with very little rainfall. The Chuseok festival in Korea comes in September when Koreans return to their hometowns, visit their ancestor’s graves, and eat feasts brimming with kimchi, glutinous rice cakes, bbq meat, and rice wine. This holiday comes as a great relief in Seoul as it signals the heat and the humidity of the summer has finally broken.
