TESTIMONIALS

Day 2
Lukla - Phakding

Take a 30-minute flight to Lukla. Keep your eyes peeled from the sky, as you take in a bird’s-eye view of the trek you are about to embark on. Note the snowline of the Himalayan Range to the north, and the rugged landing at Lukla airport: this is considered one of the most spectacular flights in the world. Today you begin your trek, descending from the edge of the village on a trail through the open hillside. Reach the village of Phakding and spend the night.

Day 3
Namche Bazaar

Depart from Phakding, you’ll be following the trail along the left bank of the Sagarmatha River. Pass by agricultural countryside, small villages and a monastery. After an easygoing morning, a steep 20-minute climb will bring you to Monjo. Enjoy lunch before continuing to the checkpoint and entering Sagarmatha National Park. A short descent and a suspension bridge pass ends in Jorsale at 900 feet. By sundown, you should reach Namche Bazaar, where you will enjoy dinner over breathtaking views, and spend the night.

Day 4
Namche Bazaar

Today, climb to Syangboche, where the beauty of the towering mountains is in plain view. Look upon Everest from this rare vantage point, and be humbled by its beauty and magnitude. Descend to Namche Bazaar for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Day 5
Lukla

Today, begin your descent towards Lukla. Many choose to split this arduous journey downward into two days, which is optional. Follow the banks of the river and descend to Monjo for a lunch break. Watch as others enthusiastically begin their treks as you are completing your own. Enjoy dinner and your last night in Lukla.

Day 6

Take an early morning flight to Kathmandu, and enjoy the day at your hotel, or do some sightseeing. Take time to recuperate and pamper yourself after your journey; you deserve it.

Day 7

After breakfast, take a guided tour of Kathmandu, visiting some of its breathtaking sacred sites, such as Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa and the Pashupatinath Temple. Fit in a tour of neighboring Patan, a destination loved by connoisseurs of fine arts, the city is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture and dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples. Enjoy a farewell feast with your guide and fellow travel mates at an authentic Nepali restaurant.
