Upon reaching the town of Phakding, relax with a hot dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3
Phakding - Namche Bazaar

Take the Bhote Koshi trail into the wild. You will pass through a dense forest, pasture lands feeding local sheep and a lush valley. The valley is home to many Sherpa Settlements. Halfway through your trek, you’ll gain a stunning view of Everest and Lhotse. You will reach the thriving little town of Namche Bazaar. The town sits at nearly 1,200 feet. There’s a picturesque view of the revered mountain - Khumbila. Your trek will take about six hours. Overnight and refuel in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4
Namche Bazaar - Rest Day

Relax a bit today to acclimate to your high altitude and explore Namche Bazaar, and do a bit of light trekking in the area if you wish. Travel to Khune, the small sherpa village that sits in the valley at the foot of Khumjung Khumbi Yul Lha. Pay visits to both Khumjung and Syangboche - small local villages nearby. Spend the afternoon breathing in the high altitude air and resting up in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5
Namche Bazaar - Tengboche

Begin the day by walking up to the nearby checkpoint to get the permits checked. After getting the go ahead, walk to the gargantuan prayer stone. Here the path will straighten out and you will once again gain an unrivaled view of the majestic Himalayas. Descend through the blooming rhododendron forest and keep your eyes peeled for local pheasant hiding in the undergrowth. Walk along the Imja Khla River and stop for lunch in the small town of Phunki. The town rests at nearly 1,100 feet. This afternoon, ascend towards the Tengboche Monastery. This tranquil retreat is among the most beautiful places on the planet. Delight at a stunning view of Everest’s Southwest face. This monastery is the traditional location where all who climb receive their blessing from the local monks. It’s an incredible spiritual and cultural experience, unique the world over. This is where you end your five-hour trek and rest for the evening.

Day 6
Tengboche - Pheriche

Don’t blink or you may miss Nepal’s national bird - the elusive Danphe. Watch as colorful snow roosters flit up and down the mountain. Once you reach the tiny village of Devuche - the only civilization you will find- there are a few houses and Buddhist spiritual houses known as Gompas. There’s a trekker’s aid post at Pheriche with western physicians available. Today’s trek is just under five hours long. Dinner and overnight at Pheriche in the camp.

Day 7
Pheriche

Today is yours to relax from trekking. You have the option to take a side-trip to Chhukung. This is a favorite lodge village among trekkers for the picturesque views. Check out the Tsola River below Pheriche if you itch to venture out. Rest your legs and continue getting used to the fresh, high mountain air. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the camp.

Day 8
Pheriche - Lobuche

Follow the gentle slope from the valley between Periche to Phalang Karpo. Marvel at the view of the majestic Tawachi and Cholatse peaks. The trail is known to have snow leopards crossing through on occasion. Depending on how you’re feeling, stay in Dugla or continue on to Lobuche. Here you can fuel up with a hot dinner and catch some shut-eye.

Day 9
Lobuche (or Dugla) - Kala Patthar - Gorakshep

Start the day with the sunrise for a fresh start. Climb for one and a half hours to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime view of the Khumbu Glacier. The path gets rocky at this point. You will also begin to feel the elevation. Reach the Gorakshep in three hours’ time. The small town has a lake that is usually frozen. Here you will find several monuments to those climbers who did not make it to the top of daunting Everest. You should reach the camp by lunchtime. Climb up to Kala Patthar and return to Gorakshep. Kala Patthar means “black rock” in Nepalese. This is one of the world’s highest peaks, at 18,192 feet, and claimed to offer the most spectacular view on Earth. You can see Everest perfectly from the peak. Dinner and overnight at Gorakshep.

Day 10
Gorakshep - Everest Base Camp - Lobuche

Take the famous trip to the Everest Base Camp. Feel a strong sense of accomplishment but know that the view will not be quite as spectacular as it was from Kala Patthar. Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Nuptse loom over the base camp and block the view of Everest. As you climb through the glacier, you will feel like you’re passing through a walk-in freezer. Feel a rush as you trek along the Khumbu icefall. Return to Lobuche, where you will enjoy dinner and overnight camp.

Day 11
Lobuche - Dengbouche

Start the descent as you trek back to Dengbouche. You will need to be extra-careful as you walk back down the hill to Periche. The trail is windier than most. Continue to Somare, where you will stop for lunch and chat with the friendly locals. Continue for three and a half hours to Dengbouche; here you will finish for the day and sleep.

Day 12
Dengbouche - Namche Bazaar

Trek back to Namche Bazaar. The journey will take nearly six hours. Enjoy the relief your lungs feel as you start reaching lower altitudes.Traipse across the snow-crusted countryside. Once you reach Namche Bazaar, relax and have dinner. Overnight at the camp.

Day 13
Namche Bazaar - Lukla

Today you journey back to Lukla. The snow starts to diminish as you wind your way through the hills. It will become easier to breathe as well. Enjoy your final moments of trekking with your comrades. You’ve accomplished something very few people in the world have. Upon reaching Lukla, relax, eat dinner and enjoy each other’s company. Overnight at the camp for the last night of your adventure.

Day 14
Lukla - Kathmandu

Finish your final day of walking as you cover the final distance to the Lukla Airport. Take a last glimpse of the breathtaking Himalayas. Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. Once you reach Kathmandu, enjoy sightseeing in Nepal’s largest city. See the most revered stupa in all of Nepal - the Swayambhu. You can see a great view of the city, as well as several monkeys hanging around the area. The Boudha Stupa, Narayanhiti Palace Museum and the infamous “Freak Street” are all worth a gander. Spend the evening at a hotel in the city center.

Day 15
Kathmandu - Return Flight Home

Pack up your belongings as your adventure ends. Reflect over your unique experience as you fly out of Kathmandu and the beautiful Nepalese countryside. Less than 3,500 people in the world have climbed the stunning-yet-daunting mountain you just summited.
