Rambagh Palace

Why We Love This Hotel :

History: Rambagh Palace is legendary in Jaipur, having housed Jaipur’s royalty until only a few decades ago.

Service: Many Rambagh Palace rooms include personalized butler service, so guests can experience the level of service the Palace's previous royal occupants once enjoyed.

Location: The Maharaja chose this location five kilometers from Jaipur as it was distant enough from the city to offer peace and relaxation, but close enough to allow convenient city access.

Guests will find no shortage of royalty-inspired activities at the grand Rambagh Palace, from elaborate pools, to exotic spa treatments, to mystical palm reading. Enjoy the comforting activities that royalty once enjoyed in a palatial setting.

Historical Walk

Walking tours into the palace’s royal past take place in the evenings. Palace Butlers lead guests through the dramatic histories, legends, and legacies of Jaipur’s royalty, slowly unveiled by the tour, finishing off with a glass of sparkling wine at the Polo Bar.

Indoor and Outdoor Pool

The indoor pool was once a favorite retreat of Jaipur’s royals, while the temperature-controlled outdoor pool provides a refreshing escape in a luxurious setting, surrounded by deck chairs and accented by a fountain.

Palace Gardens

These gardens were immortalized for their extravagance and beauty in Peter Coates’ ‘The Most Beautiful Gardens in the World’. Indeed, they are the stunning homes to some of the most glorious birds in the world, which are often easily sighted upon a leisurely stroll down a garden path. A symphony of sounds and entertainment erupts in the evenings, with performances by folk musicians and dancers in the upper front lawns.

Shopping Arcade

Located inside the palace itself is an arcade of shops and boutiques selling fine jewelry, handicrafts, rare carpets and durries, traditional artifacts, Rajasthani haute couture, and rare books.

Spa

The Jiva Grande Spa will have patrons feeling like pampered royalty. With treatments inspired by those given to kings and queens, guests can close their eyes and be transported to ancient India. Romantic tented sanctuaries for two are outfitted with wooden floors, glowing chandeliers, and regal Indian love swings.

Sports and Activities

With a palace jogging track, a mini-golf course, a croquet field, and a table tennis room, sports enthusiasts will be kept busy at the Rambagh Palace.

Dining at the Rambagh Palace is an exploration into the rich flavors of Indian cuisine, with the option of indulging in the comforts of fine international fare. The menus are sure to satisfy every taste, packed with traditional and contemporary favorites.

Polo Bar

The fashionable Polo Bar has been the centerpiece of magazine and journal photography for decades. A nod to the royal sport of polo, the bar not only serves up polo-inspired cocktails, but also the finest liqueurs, spirits, and cigars the world has to offer. This venue is ideal for either unwinding after a long day, or gearing up for an eventful evening.

Private Dining

The Taj Rambagh goes the extra mile when it comes to private dining, transforming your dinner experience into a magical fairytale. A memorable evening of champagne, sumptuous dishes, and candlelight under the stars, can be arranged in a private tent. It’s also possible to arrange a private meal in a palace room overlooking the garden’s grand fountain.

Rajput Room

This casual all-day dining restaurant offers patrons a sometimes needed break from the rich opulence throughout the hotel. Serving breakfast, light meals, as well as coffees and teas, patrons can kick back while enjoying the view of the front palace lawns.

Steam

This chic restored Victorian steam engine and train station serves up a fine selection of liquors, as well as Middle Eastern shawarma, and wood-fired Italian crust pizzas.

Suvarna Mahal

Formerly the palace ballroom, this fine dining restaurant provides a stately dining experience. The huge dining room boasts high ceilings, beautiful chandeliers, plush ornate furniture, and intricate wall decorations. The opulent décor is an excellent accompaniment to the main attraction – the Suvarna Mahal’s fine royal Indian cuisine.

The Verandah

Enjoy light fare and drinks in the airy, arched palace verandah, enjoying views of the palace’s grand gardens and fountains. This is the perfect spot for pre-dinner cocktails, or for getting immersed in a good book during a leisurely break from daily routine.
