A new name has been attached to one of the Lion City’s most venerable addresses with the opening of METT Singapore, set within the storied, tree-lined grounds of Fort Canning Park.
The 84-room property ushers in a fresh era of lifestyle luxury at the historic hilltop enclave, where Singapore’s royal, colonial, and cultural pasts converge. Reimagined by designer Jeffrey Wilkes, the heritage-listed building balances timeless architecture with modern indulgence, featuring high ceilings, light-drenched suites, and sweeping views over either the park’s greenery or the downtown skyline.

The design is only part of METT’s allure. Its philosophy of celebrating “the luxury of living well” comes alive through a collection of restaurants, wellness experiences, and social spaces designed to make the hotel a new gathering point for the city.
At the heart of it all is Chef Daniele Sperindio, who curates a quartet of culinary concepts. The debut line-up includes L’Amo Bistrò del Mare, an elegant ode to Italian coastal cuisine, and Canning Bar & Lounge, an all-day space where coffee rituals segue into cocktails after dark. In the months ahead, Sperindio’s acclaimed fine-dining restaurant Art di Daniele Sperindio will move to METT, alongside Hanu, a high-energy modern take on the Korean grill.

Beyond the table, the hotel is a sanctuary of fitness and renewal. Guests can swim in two outdoor pools, take to the padel and pickleball courts, or reset in the spa and wellness zone complete with sauna, steam room, and cold plunge. A fully equipped Technogym studio and boutique fitness classes, from aerial yoga to barre, add to the hotel’s active pulse.
Opening later this year, Madison House, a private members’ club housed within the complex, will introduce The Longevity Suite, Europe’s leading biohacking and anti-ageing brand, bringing cryotherapy, aesthetic therapies, and personalised wellness programmes to Singapore for the first time.
General manager Marcel Li describes METT Singapore as “a destination that captures the rhythm of modern life in the heart of nature, where dining, wellness, and culture meet beneath the canopy of Fort Canning.”
