Bangkok’s former Custom House is preparing to welcome a different kind of international trade. Contemporary Thai cooking, modern Indian menus, Cantonese classics, and riverside cocktails will all feature at The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok, which has revealed its dining lineup ahead of a scheduled December 2026 opening.
The 75-room hotel occupies the restored 1888 landmark and neighboring heritage buildings on the Chao Phraya River in Bang Rak. Its culinary recruits include Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn of Le Du, Garima Arora of Bangkok’s two-Michelin-starred Gaa, and bartender Tom Hearn, whose résumé takes in Vesper, KOL Mezcaleria, and The Savoy’s American Bar.

Chef Ton will lead Roi Chak Sam, a contemporary Thai restaurant in the former Import & Export Department. Drawing inspiration from royal banquet menus served during the reign of King Rama V, the kitchen will work with seasonal Thai produce. Even the name has a connection to the building’s past: meaning “three from a hundred,” it references the three percent import duty once collected at Custom House.
Inside the main building, The Cotton Room will span breakfast overlooking the river, afternoon tea overseen by executive pastry chef Prot Stitpittayayut, and an Indian lunch and dinner concept developed with Arora. Her menus will bring Thai ingredients into dishes rooted in Indian culinary traditions.

Cantonese restaurant T’ang Court will occupy the former Second Post & Telegraph Building, with Ricky Lin Quoping drawing on his experience at the three-Michelin-starred Hong Kong original. Expect Cantonese barbecue, handmade dim sum, seafood, and wok-fired dishes, alongside three private dining rooms upstairs.
The same building will house Crowntail, where Hearn will oversee cocktails across an indoor bar, riverside pavilion, outdoor terrace, and rooftop Two Spot bar. Named for the vividly colored crowntail betta fish, the venue will draw on local ingredients, with settings for both sunset drinks and a late-night round.
For travelers planning a Bangkok stay, the announcement adds a compelling dining dimension to the hotel’s opening. For those staying elsewhere, it offers several reasons to make the trip downriver.
