DETAILED DECRIPTION

Leave the hustle and bustle of the big cities behind and feel at peace in the serene jungles of Malaysia. Spend time exploring ancient rainforests, lush tea plantations, and historic towns with this unforgettable 10-day tour. Begin your exciting journey in Fraser’s Hill, a colonial-era hill station situated in the wilderness. Here, you’ll trek through scenic hiking trails and enjoy an afternoon of bird watching. Next, head to the beautiful Taman Negara National Park and walk high above the ground on canopy bridges. Continue to the Belum-Temengor rainforest and spend your days kayaking, fishing and hiking through the scenic landscape. Finish your adventure in Penang and uncover the rich history of Georgetown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY-TO-DAY

DAY 1: Kuala Lumpur

Start your journey off by flying into the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. Once landed, head to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. We recommend staying at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental. In the afternoon, consider taking a stroll through the lively city and trying out delicious local cuisine such as Malaysian curry, roti canai, laksa, satay skewers and more.

DAY 2: Fraser's Hill

Depart from Kuala Lumpur in the morning and travel 2.5 hours to Fraser’s Hill, a colonial-era hill station nestled in the Cameron Highlands. Arrive at the station and check in to a quaint hotel in the area. In the afternoon, hike through many scenic nature trails and enjoy bird watching.

DAY 3: Fraser's Hill

Today, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Fraser’s Hill on your own. Consider playing a round of golf at one of the oldest courses in the country with a visit to the prestigious Royal Fraser’s Hill Golf Club. In the afternoon, trek along more hiking trails and admire the spectacular landscape.

DAY 4: Taman Negara

In the morning, say goodbye to Fraser’s Hill and take a scenic 3-hour drive to Kuala Tembeling. Transfer to a boat and sail to Taman Negara National Park. Here, you’ll get settled in at your hotel. We recommend staying at the alluring Mutiara Taman Negara Resort. In the afternoon, venture into the park and trek through an ancient tropical rainforest. Finish the day with a guided jungle walk.

DAY 5: Taman Negara

Prepare for a day full of adventure in Taman Negara National Park. After breakfast, take an exhilarating jungle cruise along the Tahan River. Continue to the Lata Berkoh rapids and anchor at the edge of untamed jungles. Here, you’ll hike deep into the wilderness and experience an unforgettable canopy walk, high above in the trees.

DAY 6: Cameron Highlands

Leave Taman Negara National Park and head to the stunning Cameron Highlands (a 4-hour drive) first thing in the morning. Here, you’ll take a stroll through vibrant green tea plantations and stop for a delicious picnic lunch at the Boh Tea Centre. After, relax at your hotel and rest up for the exciting day ahead. We recommend staying at the accommodating Cameron Highlands Resort.

DAY 7: Belum-Temengor Rainforest

Begin the day by departing the Cameron Highlands and drive for 4 hours to the Belum-Temengor rainforest, the largest forest complex in the country. Here, you’ll have a guided tour through the gorgeous tropical jungle. To experience more natural beauty, an optional trip to Perak can be taken. In Perak, you can discover sandy beaches, forest reserves, and traditional fishing villages. In the evening, we recommend staying at the elegant Belum Rainforest Resort.

DAY 8: Belum-Temengor Rainforest

Wake up in paradise and experience the best of the Belum-Temengor rainforest today. After breakfast, kayak around the island and be captivated by the tranquil landscape. In the afternoon, enjoy fishing off the coast and hiking through the rainforest. Continue trekking until you reach a breathtaking waterfall deep in the jungle.

DAY 9: Penang

In the morning, drive for 2.5 hours to Penang, a historic island where Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultures mesh. In the afternoon, take a private guided tour of Georgetown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you’ll walk through picturesque pre-Second World War houses, colonial buildings and century-old churches and temples. After, check into your hotel and relax for the evening. We recommend staying at the luxurious Eastern & Oriental Hotel.

DAY 10: Departure

Wrap up your trip with a private transfer to Penang's airport and fly to Kuala Lumpur to connect to your onward flight.
