Arrive in the bustling Indian capital, New Delhi, and transfer to your luxury hotel - we recommend either The Lodhi, Imperial Hotel, or Oberoi Gurgaon. After check-in, get acquainted with your temporary palatial home and its surroundings, before heading out into the city to take in some of the nearby sights and sounds. Relax tonight at your luxury hotel.
Embark on a full-day tour of the city today, immersing yourself in its history and culture. Start off in Old Delhi, and marvel at the Mughal architecture. There is also a plethora of important sites of historical significance, such as India Gate, the Red Fort, and the Jama Masjid Mosque. Don’t forget Qutub Minar, the tallest minaret in India. Finally, round off your Delhi experience by seeing its modern side at the National Gallery of Modern Art.
Take off in your private luxury jet today, heading for Shimla, the one-time summer capital of British India. Once arrived, check in to the Shimla Wildflower Hall, and prepare for your first challenge of the day: a morning yoga session. Calmed and refreshed, head out into the city for a full-day tour of its colonial sites. Return to relax in your hotel this evening.
Head out into Shimla’s thick forest today. You’ll pass by pine, deodar, oak and rhododendron trees. Stop for a break, and a bite to eat, on Jakhu Hill. This is the city’s highest peak, and it offers incredible panoramas of the city below. Head back to your hotel for your final night in Shimla.
Take off for Rishikesh, the gateway to the Himalayas today, this time swapping the jet for a helicopter. As you descend into the Himalayas, time will seemingly stand still as you take in the incredible sights from your chopper. Once on the ground, check in to the luxurious wellness spa resort, Ananda. Relax at your hotel and spend some time getting acquainted with your new surroundings.
Enjoy a luxuriously long sleep, waking up when you please this morning. Your first item of the day is lunch at Jakhu Peak, the highest peak in Shimla, which offers amazing panoramas. Once fortified, spend the rest of the day hiking through the forest. Don’t miss the temple at the top of the peak devoted to Hanuman, the monkey god, one of the highest statues in the world. Relax your tired feet this evening back at your hotel.
Get your day off to a great start this morning with a yoga and meditation session at the spa. Rejuvenated, mindfully eat a delicious lunch at the hotel, before stepping out into the great outdoors. This afternoon will take you to the other extreme: your adventure will be white water river rafting. Wind down this evening with a healthy gourmet dinner, before retiring to your suite.
Today, your private jet will whisk you away in a southeasterly direction to the picturesque hill town of Darjeeling. Here, you’ll be transferred to your luxury accommodation at Glenburn Tea Estate - tea plantations being the backbone of Darjeeling’s tourism industry. Once settled in, head out to explore the surrounding areas. Start off with the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also known as the “Toy Train”. Next, cross a suspension bridge and walk through the forest to Manjitar village, observing the rich plant and animal life along the way. Hayden Hall is your final stop, a nonprofit vocational training initiative, before returning to the estate.
Wake up to the fresh, clean air of Darjeeling. After a scrumptious breakfast, make your way to the 1875 Tibetan Buddhist Ghoom Monastery, with its majestic statues, rare literature, and impressive architecture. Next up, you’ll receive a guided tour of Glenburn Tea Estate. Wind down the tour with a personalized tea-making session, where the hotel manager will assist you in picking and brewing your perfect cup.
Say goodbye to Darjeeling as you step aboard your private jet one last time, en route to New Delhi. Once arrived, you’ll be assisted with checking in for your international departure flight, either home, or to your next exciting destination.
