DETAILED DESCRIPTION

This luxury 6-day itinerary transports guests from Vietnam’s bustling metropolis of Saigon, to the serene lifestyle and panoramas of the Mekong Delta. Guests will explore this part of Vietnam, where the culture is strongly-tied to the river, over land and by water, venturing from Saigon to Ben Tre and Can Tho.

DAY-TO-DAY

DAY 1: Saigon

On your first day in Saigon, you’ll check into your luxury hotel, the Park Hyatt Saigon or the Reverie, both centrally located to explore the nearby sights and sounds of this vibrant city.

DAY 2: Saigon

See what Saigon has to offer on a colonial tour, where you’ll be shown around numerous intricately-detailed colonial structures. Next, you’ll be taken to Chinatown, also known as Cholon, where Thien Hau Temple is a particular highlight.

DAY 3: Ben Tre

Today you’re going on a 90-minute road trip, to the picturesque town of Ben Tre, an area that’s quite far off the tourist trail, where you’ll set out on the mighty Mekong for a river cruise. In the evening, you’ll be treated to your very own private sampan, a traditional flat-bottomed wooden boat, with its own team of wait staff who will look after your every need.

DAY 4: Can Tho

Today, a 90-minute drive will transport you to the heart of the Delta with a trip to Can Tho, the Mekong River Delta’s largest city. Begin your day with a countryside tour near Ben Tre, followed by a trip to the Ben Tre Museum, where you can learn about the history and culture of the Delta area. From there you drive to Can Tho where the stunning Azerai will be your resting place this evening.

DAY 5: Saigon

Wake up early to make your way to Can Tho’s incredible Cai Rang floating market, then visit the riverside food market, where you can shop for everything from tasty treats to locally-sourced handicrafts. With a bellyful of tasty Vietnamese food, you’ll return to Saigon, 3 hours later, for your final evening.

DAY 6: Departure

Today is your last day in Saigon, and your final opportunity to catch anything you’ve missed since your arrival in the country. Check out a bird’s eye view of the city from the soaring heights of the Bitexco Financial Tower Skydeck, or be entertained by a traditional water puppet theater show. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
